Preview New HST branding for the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Velar.
Land Rover's Range Rover Velar will welcome the 2023 model year with a new "HST" grade at the top of the lineup.
This new grade, previously available on the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Evoque, combines a number of popular options with design innovations and chassis upgrades.
The HST is based on the R-Dynamic S and adds items such as black exterior accents, including a black roof, and 21-inch wheels exclusive to this grade. An exclusive exterior color, Arroyo Gray, is also available.
The interior features black suede material on the headliner and steering wheel, a panoramic roof, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, park assist, a surround-view camera, and several other electronic driver assistance features.
The chassis comes standard with air suspension and adaptive dampers. The adaptive dampers use multiple sensors to read road conditions and adjust damping force accordingly. There is also a custom setting that allows drivers to choose their own preferences.
HST is only available on the Velar's range-topping powertrain, in this case a combo of a 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo and mild hybrid. This powertrain delivers a total of 395 hp and accelerates the small crossover from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds and to a top speed of 155 mph.
The Velar's standard powertrain is a 247 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that accelerates from 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 135 mph.
The Range Rover Velar HST is available for order now, starting at $80,350.
