2023 Honda Pilot, GM's next-generation V8; 2024 Toyota Tacoma: a week in reverse

We test drove the 2023 Honda Pilot Trail Sport, GM announced a major investment in a next-generation V-8 engine, and the design of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma was leaked thanks to patent drawings. Also, the design of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma was leaked thanks to patent drawings.

We followed the Jeep Wrangler over some slippery, snow-covered rocks in the 2023 Honda Pilot Trail Sport. While by no means a Jeep, the Pilot showed us on our first test drive that it is more off-road capable than ever. With the new Pilot Trail Sport, getting to the trailhead should be no problem.

The 2024 Polestar 2 debuted with an extended range and a lineup of rear-wheel-drive, single-motor models replacing front-wheel-drive models. Along with the extended range comes an overall increase in power; the 2024 model will be available later this year.

General Motors has committed to invest $845 million in four U.S. production facilities to build its next-generation small-block V-8 engine. The engine will likely be used in pickup trucks and SUVs and should feature advanced fuel-saving technologies, including cylinder deactivation.

A 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary model was offered at auction. This particular Countach had 155 miles on the odometer, making it one of the freshest examples in existence.

Thanks to leaked patent drawings from Brazil, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma's appearance may have been revealed long before its official unveiling. The next-generation pickup appears to be somewhere between the current Tacoma and the latest Tundra.
