Jay Leno broke bones in motorcycle accident ... Two months after the garage fire.

Comedian and TV personality Jay Leno revealed that he sustained multiple injuries in a motorcycle accident in mid-January.

The accident came after Leno was rushed to the hospital last November after a fire broke out in a car he was working on, burning his face and hands.

In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal published Thursday, Leno said he broke his collarbone and two ribs and cracked both kneecaps after being knocked off his motorcycle in a somewhat bizarre accident.

Reno said he was riding his 1940 Indian when he noticed the smell of gas. He then turned down a side street and attempted to cross a parking lot that was wired without any warning signs, such as flags hanging over it. Leno said he did not notice the wire until it was too late. He ran straight into the wire and was knocked to the ground. He also said the motorcycle continued to run after he was knocked off.

Leno said he did not mention the motorcycle accident previously because his previous injuries from the fire had caused significant media coverage.

"You know, after you get burned, you get that one for free," Leno said in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. 'Then you become Harrison Ford and crash a plane. You just want to keep your head down."

The fire injury was caused when Leno was repairing a 1907 white steam car in his garage when it was doused with fuel. The pilot light caused the fire and Leno suffered third-degree burns.

Despite this injury, the 72-year-old said he is "fine" and will "work this weekend."
