The Ford Mustang made its world debut at the 1964 World's Fair in New York, and since then it has gone through numerous incarnations as Ford's longest-produced car. Each generation underwent pre-production development, and the prototypes built by Ford show the evolution of the Mustang.
Some Mustang prototypes closely resemble the finished product available at your local Ford dealer, while others do not.
