2024 Toyota Tacoma, BMX XM, 2024 Porsche Macan EV: The Week in Reverse

Toyota again teases the 2024 Tacoma, the BMW XM model lineup expands, and the 2024 Porsche Macan EV undergoes circuit testing. Motor Authority's Week in Reverse.

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is the first trail hunter model in Toyota's expanding off-road lineup. Teaser images of the 2024 Tacoma Trail Hunter released this week reveal the ARB rear bumper, recovery hooks, and badges; it is unclear whether the ARB bits will be standard or optional.

Acura has announced that the 2024 Integra Type S will go on sale in June. With the Civic Type R's powertrain boosted to 320 hp and more mature bodywork due to the lack of a rear wing, the Integra Type S may appeal to those who want a Civic Type R but do not want to be seen driving one.

The BMW XM Label Red debuted as the most powerful production M car ever. When this plug-in hybrid arrives at dealerships later this year, it will feature a lot of red accents and produce 738 hp.

Chevrolet expanded its ZR2 off-road lineup with the introduction of the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2. This heavy-duty off-road pickup will be available in regular and ARB-modified Bison models. With its lift kit, 35-inch Mud Terrain tires, rear locker, and available Duramax diesel engine, this massive pickup should be able to haul and crawl over nasty terrain.

The 2024 Porsche Macan EV continued track testing in prototype form. The prototype was camouflaged to hide the rear window line, lacked production-ready wheels, and had an active rear spoiler; it is expected to go on sale in early 2024.
