2024 Mercedes-AMG GT, base price $136,050
The redesigned 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT coupe will go on sale this spring starting at $136,050 (including a $1,150 destination charge).
Grades include the GT 55 and GT 63, both powered by the familiar 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine, with the GT 55 producing 469 hp and the GT 63 starting at $177,050 (including destination) with 577 hp.
The GT 63 requires only 3.1 seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill and continues to accelerate to a governed top speed of 196 mph; the GT 55's 0-60 mph acceleration time is 3.8 seconds and its top speed is limited to 183 mph.
A more powerful plug-in hybrid variant will be available, but the timing is unknown. The plug-in hybrid should feature the same 805 hp powertrain that will be used in the related 2024 AMG SL 63 S E Performance.
Unlike its two-seater, rear-wheel drive predecessor, the redesigned AMG GT is a more practical car with 2+2 seating and all-wheel drive.
The interior features heated and cooled power-adjustable seats, an AMG performance steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital meter cluster, and an 11.9-inch infotainment screen. All of these features are standard, along with a heads-up display, surround-view camera system, and Burmester audio system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, as well as a wireless cell phone charger.
Buyers can choose from 11 colors, plus multiple 20- and 21-inch wheel options. an AMG Carbon Fiber Package can be added, which features a number of exterior items finished in real carbon fiber. the AMG Aerodynamics Package is also available and is designed to increase front and rear downforce.
