2025 Mercedes-AMG E 53, 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT: today's automotive news
Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the redesigned E-Class, which will soon be followed by the AMG-developed E 53. The latest E 53 is powered by an inline 6-cylinder turbocharged engine, which, combined with a powerful electric motor, produces power comparable to the V8 engine in the older E 63.
Porsche's updated Taycan series has created a new flagship variant named the Taycan Turbo GT. It has a maximum output of 1,092 hp and accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 2.1 seconds. It set an EV lap record at Laguna Seca and came within a whisker of matching the EV lap record set by Rimac's hypercar, the Nevella, at the Nürburgring.
Rolls-Royce was spotted testing an updated Ghost prototype. The car is expected to be one of the last gas-powered models to be unveiled, as Rolls-Royce has stated that it will move to a fully electric vehicle route by the end of the decade.
