2026 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II premieres

Rolls-Royce was spotted testing a prototype of the updated Ghost sedan.

The update will likely be a mid-cycle refresh of the current Ghost, which hit the market for the 2021 model year.

The updated version, which Rolls-Royce usually refers to as the Series II, is expected to arrive as a 2026 model year. In other words, its debut will likely be in 2025.

The exterior changes are dramatic, at least by Rolls-Royce standards. There is a new front end with differently shaped headlights than the current model. The front mask is also new, but the grille appears to be of the same design as the current model. Overall, it appears to be inspired by Rolls-Royce's recent series of coachbuilt specials, the Droptor models.

At the rear, the taillights retain their shape, but their light signature is new. Instead of the horizontal elements of the current design, there are two vertical elements, one of which also serves as a turn signal.

Rolls-Royce is unlikely to update its powertrain for a mid-cycle refresh, and with plans to transition to a fully electric vehicle by 2030, there is little incentive to continue updating its gas engine line. The 6.8-liter V-12 twin-turbo currently in the Ghost produces 563 hp, more than enough for the luxury cruiser segment.

There are no interior shots, but some changes could be made here, including an infotainment system.

Prior to the Ghost update, Rolls-Royce is expected to unveil an update to the Cullinan; a prototype of the SUV has also been spotted testing it.
