Rivian R2, 2024 Dodge Charger, Electric Range Rover Velar Successor: The Week in Reverse
The Rivian R2 debuts, details of the 2024 Dodge Charger's powertrain are revealed, and we discover the electric successor to the Range Rover Velar. And we have discovered the electric car that will succeed the Range Rover Velar.
The Rivian R2 debuts with seating for five and two rows of seats that fold completely flat; the R2, coming in 2026, will feature a single, dual, or tri-motor powertrain and a battery pack featuring 4695-style cells. Prices start at $45,000, but Rivian also showed the smaller R3 and the performance-oriented R3X.
The 2025 BMW M2 CS was caught playing in the snow. During final testing in cold weather, spy photographers spotted the updated sports coupe, and the photos show the improved front and rear end. Expect its debut later this year.
The 2024 Dodge Charger debuted looking like the concept car that preceded it. The Charger lineup will first consist of an electric three-door hatchback due later this year, with a five-door hatchback joining the lineup in 2025; a twin-turbocharged inline-six engine will also be available in 2025.
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 will not have a V8 engine. Infiniti's flagship SUV will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 with 450 hp and 515 lb-ft of torque. Debut is set for March 20.
Spy Cameraman spotted the successor to the 2026 Range Rover Velar and revealed that it is electric. This electric luxury SUV appears to be longer than the current Velar and may hide a third row. Its debut is expected in 2025.
