Mustang Experience Center Becomes Mecca for Muscle Car Fans

Starting this year, Mustang fans will have more incentive to visit North Carolina's Charlotte Motor Speedway. That's because this iconic motorsports destination will also be home to what Ford is calling the Mustang Experience Center.

As Ford explains, the new center will be "the place for all things Mustang," where visitors can test drive the cars on the race track, learn about Mustang history, and purchase a variety of pony car-related merchandise, including performance parts.

According to Ford, there will also be meeting space for private and corporate events. Fans can even hold their weddings at this location.

For fans who want to get out on the track, Ford also offers a variety of driving school programs at Charlotte Motor Speedway. These include programs specifically for the EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse grades.

For the Dark Horse program, participants receive a full day of classroom and on-track instruction, including skidpad and autocross sessions and lead-follow wrapping. Instructors will also demonstrate hot laps.

Ford unveiled the Mustang Experience Center on Wednesday at a special gathering at Charlotte Motor Speedway to celebrate the Mustang's 60th anniversary. Other announcements included a 60th anniversary package for the Mustang GT, confirmation of a new Mustang variant due in 2025, and the option to have the Mustang's digital meter cluster display meters similar to those on the original Mustang.
