Remodeled GMC Terrain debuts this year
GMC will redesign its Terrain compact crossover later this year.
No market launch date has been announced, but the new Terrain will likely arrive in the U.S. as a 2025 model
Teaser photos show some of the new design. It shows the particularly rugged Terrain AT4 variant and reveals the headlight design and part of the front mask.
The Terrain is a cousin of the redesigned 2025 Chevrolet Equinox. The latest Equinox is roughly the same size as the current generation, although the track is 2.5 inches wider and ground clearance is almost an inch higher. The new Terrain will likely receive similar improvements.
The Equinox has only one powertrain, in this case a 175 hp 1.5-liter turbo four. It is likely that the new Terrain will also have that powertrain.
The interior will feature a floating screen on the instrument cluster and infotainment hub, similar to the Equinox.
GMC has a busy year ahead. In addition to the launch of the new Terrain, GMC will be introducing a second electric pickup truck, the 2024 Sierra EV, as well as a redesigned 2024 Acadia and a redesigned 2025 Yukon GMC will also, for the first time ever, be expanding into other markets, starting with Australia, China, and New Zealand. GMC also plans to expand outside of North America and West Asia, beginning with Australia, China, and New Zealand.
