2024 Lucid's Range King and Air Grand Touring updated.

The Lucid Air Grand Touring has the highest EPA range estimate of any electric vehicle currently on the market, an impressive 516 miles.

In 2024, this electric luxury sedan will receive an update aimed at further improving efficiency.

Key to the update is the addition of a heat pump, which Lucid said will help the Air Grand Touring provide more range in extreme cold weather.

Changes to the motor, battery chemistry, and thermal management mean that less energy is wasted as heat, resulting in less performance loss even during periods of intense driving. The powertrain consists of a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a maximum output of 819 hp and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3 seconds.

Charging speeds with DC fast chargers have also been improved with improved automatic battery preconditioning on the way to the charging station. According to Lucid, the 2024 Air Grand Touring should charge 15-30% faster than previous models.

Despite the adjustments, Lucid has kept the price of the 2024 Air Grand Touring at the previously announced $111,400, including the $1,500 destination charge.

The 2024 model year also marks the arrival of the new Air Sapphire performance flagship. Priced at $250,500 including destination charge, the Sapphire is powered by a unique three-motor powertrain that delivers 1,234 hp, 0-60 mph acceleration in 1.89 seconds, quarter mile in 8.95 seconds, and top speed of 205 mph. Despite its impressive performance, the EPA's range estimate of 427 miles (8.6 km) remains staggering.
