2025 Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package Revealed

The Mustang nameplate is turning 60, and Ford is celebrating by unveiling a 60th anniversary package for the current seventh-generation model.

It was revealed Wednesday at a special gathering at Charlotte Motor Speedway, 60 years after Ford unveiled the first Mustang at the New York World's Fair.

Only 1,965 units will be sold. This number represents the Mustang's first model year. Ford called the original a 1964 1/2 model year, but the DMV in each state considered it a 1965 model year.

The package was designed exclusively for the 2025 Mustang GT Premium grade and featured unique 20-inch wheels, side graphics, a special grille that mimicked the original Mustang grille, and a serial numbered dash plaque The Mustang is available in custom Vermilion Red and Elegant Red. Custom Vermilion Red and Ebony Black badging was inspired by the Mustang badges and wheel center caps that debuted at the World's Fair. [Exterior colors are limited to Wimbledon White, Vapor Blue, and Race Red. Interior colors will be limited to Space Gray, Carmine Red, and Black Onyx.

Fans will be able to order packages starting this summer. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.

The Mustang has been on sale for seven years and has been the world's best-selling sports car for over a decade. According to Ford, nearly one million cars have been delivered in the past decade.
