2025 Lamborghini Urus SE, 2025 Mercedes G-Class: today's automotive news
Lamborghini has overhauled the Urus for 2025, adding a plug-in hybrid powertrain in the process. The new Urus SE Hybrid grade combines the familiar twin-turbocharged V8 with a single electric motor for a total output of 789 hp and straight-line performance worthy of a supercar.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has also been updated for 2025, and a fully electric vehicle grade has been added to the lineup: called the G 580 with EQ technology, it features a four-motor powertrain that delivers 579 hp peak output and what Mercedes calls G-Turn It features tank-turning capability.
Mini unveiled a subcompact crossover that sits between the Cooper and Countryman. It is called the Aceman and is Mini's first EV-only vehicle. Production will take place in China, so the Aceman will not be sold in the U.S., but that could change if Mini adds production of the Aceman at its UK plant in 2026.
