Audi A6 E-Tron, Bentley Bauter Convertible: Automotive News Headlines
Audi will launch the A6 E-Tron this summer, the second model to follow the Q6 E-Tron on parent Volkswagen Group's new dedicated EV platform, PPE The A6 E-Tron will be a competitor to the Tesla Model S, which can achieve a range of at least 300 miles. It will be a rival to the Tesla Model S, which has a range of at least 300 miles, and performance variants of the S6 and RS 6 are also in the pipeline.
Production of Bentley's W-12 engine will end this summer, and Bentley will commemorate this with a limited edition model called the Batur. In addition to the original coupe, the Batur Convertible has just been announced, and Bentley plans to produce only 16 units, making the convertible even more exclusive than the fixed-roof model.
Porsche is working on a mid-cycle update to the current 992-generation 911, and a prototype of the entry-level 911 Carrera has been spotted. This will be much more substantial than a typical mid-cycle refresh, and one of the changes will be the introduction of hybrid technology in several grades.
