Ineos Grenadier d'Etour, first limited edition for the Arcane Works division
Ineos will unveil the first limited edition model from its Arcane Works personalization division at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Dubbed the "Ineos Grenadier Detour," the model will be limited to 200 units and feature a special design. The exterior features unique 18-inch wheels, a new grille, and four exclusive paint colors: Magma Red, Whiteout Blue, Squall Green, and Storm Force Silver. Customers can also choose one-off colors, contrasting roof rails, skid plates, and other exterior trim. [This includes two satin-finish options for the transmission tunnel, doors, and air vents; four Bridge of Weir leather upholstery options; and two cashmere headliner options. All cars also feature laser-etched aluminum door scuff plates identifying the car as a Detour limited edition, as well as a badge from British jeweler Vaughton's.
Detour models are powered by the same gasoline or diesel BMW 3.0-liter inline-six engine as other Grenadier models (the diesel is not available in the U.S.), but the gasoline version has a new exhaust system designed to improve engine sound is used.
Arcane Works, just announced earlier this month, allows Ineos to offer the usual personalization options, such as unique paint colors and interior trim, that other luxury low-volume manufacturers offer. The company also plans to use Arcane Works to equip vehicles with non-factory options for specific jobs and to test potential new features for regular production models.
Ineos only began production of its debut SUV, the Grenadier, two years ago, but the automaker under the British chemical giant of the same name is rapidly expanding its business. It later introduced the Quartermaster pickup truck, which was derived from the Grenadier, and the Fusilier, a compact SUV. Ineos is reportedly planning to build two more SUVs and a U.S. plant as well.
