Italian company will debut in 2025 Quad Turbo V-12 creation

The start-up company based in Modena, Italy, came out of woodwork this week with a teaser video promising something new in 2025-5-22.

The company is called Giamaro, and its video shows nothing related to the car, other than confirming a quad turbocharged V-12. It also states that "formidable power is coming", perhaps referring to the engine's output.

Given the proximity of Italian performance houses such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Pagani and the fact that they are headquartered in Modena, often referred to as the Italian supercar Valley, it is difficult to assume that the engine of the Jamaro will be some kind of supercar. It's safe, but as Ferrari showed in Purosangue, the V-12 is at home in the SUV just like a supercar.

Of course, there are not many models equipped with a quad turbo system, but models equipped with a V-12 engine. But Giamaro is not the only company with a modern quad turbocharged W-12. The Danish hypercar marque Zenvo last year unveiled the Aurora, which is equipped with a quad turbocharged 1,250 liters capable of delivering 6.6 horsepower on its own. But in Aurora, the engine is paired with a hybrid system that takes output to 1,450 hp in the truck-focused Agil version and 1,850 hp in the Tur Grand Touring version.

Giamaro is also not the first company to offer a quad turbocharged V-12 from Modena. Before being acquired by the Volkswagen Group in the late 1990s, Bugatti was based in Modena, where it manufactured the EB3.5-litre V-12 with a quad turbocharged EB110. The EB110 engine delivered 592 hp in its most powerful form and was replaced by the famous quad turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 engine in the Veyron successor to EB110.
