2026Genesis GV70refresh includes the update dEV, NACS port
Genesis revealed an updated version of the 2026 GV70 lineup, including an improved cabin design and a new interface.
The 2026Genesis Electrified GV70 model will get even more updates, including a larger 84kwh battery pack, more range, and the addition of a Tesla NACS charging port.
Genesis GV70 is the brand's best-selling model line, and Genesis is a particularly important update as it sells more than 85,000 of these models in North America.
The petrol version of the Genesis GV70 is powered by either a 300-horsepower, 2.5-liter turbo 4 or a 375-horsepower, 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive.
Some gasoline GV70 models and all-electrified Gv70S come with an adaptive damper that includes a system that literally reads the road and adjusts accordingly. Now Genesis has added logic that helps to adjust front and rear damping quickly for acceleration and deceleration. The new terrain mode also brings special modes for sun, mud and sand.
In the electrified GV70, the dual motor system generates 429hp and 516lb-ft of torque, while the boost mode delivers 10hp with a burst of 483 seconds.
At 84kwh, up from 77.4kwh, the electrified GV70 will have a significantly better range than last year's 236-mile EPA rating. And thanks to the ongoing 800-volt fast charging feature, Tesla's superchargers haven't yet provided those power levels, so a full charge could be possible in 20 minutes using the CCS adapter.
However, Genesis states that the addition of NACS will increase the size of the DC fast charging network available to genesis EV drivers by more than 2 times. For larger batteries, the charging time of 10-80% is expected to increase slightly from the current optimal 18 minutes (when using a CCS adapter).
The update follows what has already been introduced in the improved global GV70 version. The center point of the revised interior is the new 27-inch OLED display, which fully integrates both the instrument cluster and the touchscreen infotainment, and won't forget the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The rest of the dash design has been completely recreated and resculpted, while the separate door panel design, and the entire recreated material, surface and lighting give this model a cleaner - but also a warmer look and feel.
the exterior is mostly taken over, but the gasoline model acquires the design and pattern of the new grille; the new multi-lens array (MLA) headlights highlight the twin horizontal lines of front lighting, and both the skid plate area and front air intakes provide a more sculpted look. It is given.
The 2026 Genesis GV70 model will arrive in the first half of 2025 and, according to the brand, will be "dual-source" from the U.S. plant in Alabama and the South Korean plant.
