2023 Subaru WRX raises prices significantly

After the 2022 model year, the Subaru WRX will enter the 2023 model year with few changes.

Pricing for the 2023 WRX, which arrives at dealers in the spring, will start at $31,625, including a $1,020 destination charge, up from $30,100 for the 2022 model year.

Despite the price increase, the car still offers good value given its performance. This compact sport sedan is powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-4 that delivers 271 hp of peak power and 258 lb-ft of torque.

Drive is on four wheels, and buyers can choose either the standard six-speed manual or the available CVT; choosing the CVT includes additional features such as electronic driver assistance and a drive mode selector, but the starting price, including destination, is $33,475 which rises even higher to $33,475.

Standard features on the 2023 WRX include LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and dual 7.0-inch screens for the infotainment system. The upper screen controls connectivity options such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration and also serves as a display for the rearview camera and audio system. The lower screen handles climate control and other vehicle settings.

Buyers waiting for a more hardcore STI version of the latest WRX are likely to be disappointed. Subaru said in March that there are no plans for another WRX STI, at least for this generation.
