Glickenhaus 007 LMH to participate in WEC Round 3 in Le Mans.

Glickenhaus will compete in the 2023 World Endurance Championship for the third consecutive year in the series' premier hypercar class with his 007 LMH racing car.

Glickenhaus made this confirmation in a Twitter post on Tuesday, ending speculation that the American team would miss the season.

Glickenhaus said that the team will field one 007 throughout the season and that dealer partner HK Motorcars will field a second 007 exclusively for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Glickenhaus first entered the World Endurance Championship in 2021, the first season of the hypercar class. At the time, Toyota was the only company running the LMH race car GR010 Hybrid. Alpine also had an A480 LMP1 race car.

The team had little success, but was expected to win its first Monza round in 2022.

In 2023, Glickenhaus would face more competition than in previous years. Ferrari plans to enter with its 499P LMH, while Peugeot will enter its 9X8 LMH following its marginal race participation last season. Several LMDh race cars from BMW, Cadillac, and Porsche will compete in the hypercar class.

The Glickenhaus 007 is an in-house designed racing car powered by a custom-built twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-8 engine developed by Pipo Moteurs of France. Glickenhaus has also announced a related model, the 007S hypercar, designed for public road use, but production will be limited to a minimum order of 24 cars by Glickenhaus.

Following a prologue event at Sebring International Raceway in Florida on March 11-12, the first round of the 2023 World Endurance Championship will kick off at the Sebring 1000 Mile on March 17.
