Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution, Lightyear 2: Today's Automotive News

Hennessey has unveiled a new circuit-focused version of its hypercar Venom F5. Dubbed the Revolution, the new model promises 1,817 horsepower in a package that reduces the car's already less than 3,000-pound curb weight by 100 pounds. Only 24 units will be produced, with prices starting at $2.7 million each.

Less than a month after the debut model went into production, Dutch EV startup Lightyear announced a follow-up model that not only has a significantly longer range but also a much lower price. The new model is scheduled to go into production in 2025.

A one-off 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE known as the "Black Ghost" will be sold for the first time. Yes, the legendary Challenger of Godfrey Quarles, a Detroit cop and street racer, will be offered at Mecum auction this spring.
