Hoonigan Announces Tribute to Ken Block and Business Update

The automotive, motorsports, marketing, and clothing industries are saddened by the death of Larry and "Gymkhana" icon Ken Block, who died in a snowmobile accident on January 3.

On Wednesday, Hoonigan co-founder Brian Scott and the rest of the Hoonigan crew released a memorial video on Hoonigan's YouTube channel that includes a brief business update.

After last week's celebration, the crew returned to Hoonigan's headquarters in Long Beach, California.

Scott notes that much of the footage taken in 2022, much of it involving Brock himself, has not been made public. The team plans to release that content, the first of which could be as early as next week.

A foundation called the 43 Institute has been established by the Block family. According to Scott, more details about the foundation will be announced in the future, and a thin website will be updated and designed. For now, the site includes a mission statement of paving the way of opportunity for those with extraordinary drive and without an adequate support system for growth and success. Donations are being accepted and more details will be announced at a later date.

At the 4:30 minute mark of the video, Scott encourages viewers to watch six minutes of "Ken enjoying life and really living it to the fullest."

The video ends with Brock "trying to inspire people to be creative and have fun in life. And not to be a jerk.
