Bentley has unveiled two special edition cars, available only in Australia, to celebrate its success at the Bathurst 12 Hours race in Australia.

Designed by Bentley's Mulliner personalization division and dealer Bentley Sydney, the two cars are based on the Continental GT S coupe, which has just been launched in Australia, and will be the first in the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hours race. They incorporate styling elements inspired by the number 7 Continental GT3 race car that took first place in the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hours.

Car 1 has an apple green exterior, the same color as the race car's paint job, with a beluga (black) roof, exterior mirrors, and lower bumper and trunk lid trim. A Blackline version with black exterior chrome trim and a styling version with carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser are also available. Like the Bathurst-winning Continental GT3, the grille bears the racing number "7."

The car's interior replicates the exterior color palette, with black seat upholstery with green piping, contrast stitching, and trim. The headrests have "Bathurst" stitching and the kick plate reads "one of two." A metal overlay of the Mount Panorama Circuit, where the Bathurst 12 Hours will be held, is applied to the carbon fiber dashboard fascia, and the winning driver's name and number 7 are placed on the center console.

The second car is painted in Silver Tempest, a reference to the launch color of the second-generation Continental GT3 unveiled in 2017. This is the version of the race car that won the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hours race; car 2 is otherwise identical to car 1. A 1:18 scale model of the race-winning car is included with each.

Both cars are based on the Continental GT S, introduced in June 2022 as one of a growing number of S models intended to add sporty character to Bentley's base V-8 models.

The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine remains unchanged at 542 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, with a factory 0-62 mph acceleration time of 4.0 seconds, but S models now come with a sport exhaust system and the usually optional handling-enhancing S models are equipped with a sport exhaust system and the usually optional Bentley Dynamic Ride system for improved handling.

Special orders like the two Bathurst cars are becoming a big part of Bentley's business, with Bentley's Mulliner division having completed 500 units by 2022. Initially focused on one-off models and special requests, Mulliner is now also working on limited edition models like the Bentley Batur coupe, as well as the Blower continuation car.
