2024 Kia EV9, 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQG, GMA T.50: week in reverse

2024 Kia EV9 debuts with block design; 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQG undergoes cold weather testing; 2024 GMA T.50 supercar enters production. Motor Authority's "Week in Reverse."

Kia reveals the 2024 EV9 online; the EV9's design is true to concept, with an upright, blocky form and punched-out metal; the EV9's interior seats six or seven passengers, and the second row of captain's chairs rotate 180 degrees; the EV9's interior is also available in a two-seat configuration.

Lamborghini unveiled the carbon fiber chassis of the Aventador's successor, revealing more details. Codenamed LB744, the V12 plug-in hybrid supercar will feature a carbon fiber monocoque structure, carbon fiber front frame, and F1-style carbon fiber front crash cone to increase torsional rigidity and reduce weight.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQG has undergone cold weather testing on public roads in Europe. This electric flagship SUV follows in the footsteps of its siblings with internal combustion engines, with a slab-sided design and circular headlights that give it the appearance of a box rolling on wheels.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Coupe also debuted online just before the 2023 GLC-Class arrives this spring. The coupe variant has a faster roofline for a sleeker look. It will be followed by a more upright model to be introduced later this year.

The GMA T.50 supercar with a V12 engine goes into production. Almost two and a half years after its initial unveiling, production began at GMA's factory in Dunsfold, U.K. Only 100 T.50s will be produced, along with 25 of the T.50s Niki Lauda, which are specifically designed for circuit driving.
