Theme for 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed Announced
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the preeminent event on the automotive calendar, held each summer on the grounds of scenic Goodwood House in southern England. It brings together some of the world's most famous cars and accomplished drivers to share their speed, power, driving prowess, and passion for cars.
But the attractions are not chosen at random. They follow a central theme that changes each year. On Wednesday, organizers announced the theme for 2025 as “The Winning Formula - Champions and Challengers.”
This new theme coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship and promises an impressive display of historic Formula 1 cars.
Organizers say the 2025 festival will feature the largest F1 showcase since the event began more than 20 years ago, with drivers, team members, and other prominent F1 figures past and present.
Other motorsports series will also be celebrated, including the World Manufacturers' Championship, which celebrates its 100th anniversary next year, and the Gordon Bennett Cup and Thousand Mile Trial, which both celebrate their 125th anniversaries.
A giant sculpture called Central Feature will also be on display. Created by artist Gary Judah, these sculptures are usually several stories tall and serve as the centerpiece of the festival.
More details on the attractions will be announced in January.
Early bird tickets for the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed are already on sale. The event runs from July 10 to 13.
